STRESS:  know it - kick it

Wellness

We are excited with the results of Thrive at Work’s new workshops: “Understanding and Combating Stress”.
Although there is a lot of buzz about stress – what is it really?

Participants acknowledged what a relief it was to understand the complexity of the physiology of stress.  Thrive assisted participants to unwrap their specific stress responses and teach them individual interventions.   Thus they learnt how to intervene early in their stress process – nip it in the bud.

“I work in a high pressure industry, and over the years have attended many courses, I have learnt more today than I have learnt in all the other courses put together.”

TEAMS:  From conflict to innovation

Working with teams that are experiencing conflict and are performing poorly is always a challenge. The other side of the coin is that it is rewarding to get good results and to be part of a solution that turns a negative work situation into a success story.

HIGH PERFORMANCE: Bashing down the roadblocks

With the best will in the world it is not always possible for a manager to come up with the “goods”.

Only too often we find people who are very able within their industry but have some roads blocks that prevent high performance outputs. This applies at both the personal and team level.

Sandy Morris has developed a specialised In-House Intensive Programme for just such a case. The results to date are impressive. Sandy has been able to micro analyse performance and get down to the nitty gritty of what is going on.  She has then created a personalized strategic plan to bring the person up to speed.

While there is no quick fix it certainly is uplifting for people to feel that they CAN change, find out precisely what they have to do and how to do it.
